Research centre launched in Bantakal

Udupi (The Hindu): A Centre of Excellence for Research in Artificial Intelligence was inaugurated at the Sri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM) at Bantakal in Udupi district on Wednesday.

The centre is being established in association with Cere Labs Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on the occasion.

Devesh Rajadhyax, CEO, Cere Labs Pvt. Ltd., explained the scope of research in artificial intelligence and machine learning. He also explained the objectives and activities of the centre.

Vishwavallabha Tirtha Swami of Sode Mutt, Thirumaleshwara Bhat, principal of SMVITM, Rathnakumar, secretary, Sri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust (SSVMET), and others present.

Vasudeva, head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the institute, welcomed the gathering. Venugopal Rao A.S. proposed a vote of thanks.
