Shivamogga: (DHNS): Coalition Government Co-ordination Committee chairman and former chief minister Siddaramaiah on Friday blamed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for turmoil in Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI).

Speaking to reporters here, Siddaramaiah said, “Modi had no faith in CBI when the Congress-led UPA government was in the power at the Centre. After they (BJP) came to power, they got confidence in India’s premier investigation agency.”

Later in the day, he took to twitter to hit out at Modi for CBI row, alleging it was another manifestation of his ‘autocratic’ rule Running a sarcastic hashtag campaign ‘Modi Se CBI Bachao’, Siddaramaiah tweeted, “The recent events related (to) #CBI is just another manifestation of @narendramodi’s autocratic rule. @BJP4India feels that they are entitled to destroy the democratic pillars. Ppl (People)
are just clueless about the lawlessness & have lost faith & confidence in the system. #ModiSeCBIBachao.”

The former chief minister accused the BJP of using coastal region in the state as Hindutva laboratory for political gains. “They are known for painting communal colour to murders that take place over personal enmity or vengeance. They spread false news on the basis of religion and exploit emotions of innocent people. So, the Congress was able to win only 3 seats out of 19 constituencies in coastal region during the Assembly polls held earlier, this year.

Taking at dig at the BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa, the former chief minister Siddaramaiah said, “The BJP leader is under the illusion of becoming chief minister, again. He has failed to understand the difference between reality and dream. So, he keeps saying that the coalition government would collapse.

When questioned about his desire to become chief minister again, Siddaramaiah said, “Don’t ask me such question till the completion of five years. I will think on those lines after I work for the party’s victory in the next Assembly polls.”
