Udupi (The Hindu): The Rashtriya Heddari 66 Balikedarara Vedike has decided to launch a signature campaign to urge both the Union government and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to construct a flyover at Ambalpady Junction here.

Addressing presspersons here on Wednesday, Bhaskar Shetty, president of the Vedike, said the Ambalpady Junction was a busy intersection where the Kundapur to Mangaluru National Highway and Ambalpady to Udupi Road meet. Thus, there is always heavy traffic there.

The Vedike had submitted a memorandum to Shobha Karandlaje, MP, on this issue. So far, no technical experts or officers of NHAI have done a survey of the junction to get to work on a flyover, he said.
