Special train services

Mangaluru (The Hindu): Southern Railway will operate a Suvidha Special train between Kochuveli and Mangaluru Junction to clear the extra rush.

Train No 00655 Kochuveli-Mangaluru Junction Suvidha Special will leave Kochuveli at 9.15 p.m. on Thursday to arrive at Mangaluru Junction at 11.30 a.m. the next day.

Train No 00656 Mangaluru Junction-Kochuveli Suvidha Special will leave Mangaluru Junction at 3.40 p.m. on Sunday to arrive at Kochuveli at 5 a.m. the next day.

The trains will stop at Kollam, Kayamkulam, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrissur, Shoranur, Tirur, Kozhikode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad and Kasaragod.

They will have one 2-tier AC coach, one 3-tier AC coach, 12 Sleeper Class coaches and two luggage cum brake vans, an official release said here.

Temporary halts

The Railways has provided temporary one-minute stoppage at Angamali Station for 11 days in connection with the Malayattoor Kurisumudi Church Festival.

The days of stoppages are from March 23 to March 27, April 1 to April 3, and April 8 to April 10.

The trains are: Train No 13351 Dhanbad/Tata Nagar-Alappuzha Express; Train No 13352 Alappuzha- Dhanbad/Tata Nagar Express; Train No 16345 Lokmanya Tilak-Thiruvananthapuram Netravathi Express; Train No 16346 Thiruvananthapuram-Lokmanya Tilak Netravathi Express; Train No 16605 Mangaluru-Nagercoil Ernad Express and Train No 16606 Nagercoil-Mangaluru Ernad Express.
