SpiceJet to start Hubballi ops on May 14

Bengaluru, (DHNS): Low-cost carrier SpiceJet on Wednesday announced the commencement of operations from Hubballi from May 14, 2018 as part of Udan project.

SpiceJet was awarded Hubballi under the second round of Udan and it will be its fifth destination under the Regional Connectivity Scheme. With the addition of Hubballi-Chennai and Hubballi-Hyderabad Udan routes, SpiceJet will operate six daily Udan flights. The airline had launched services on the Mumbai-Porbandar, Mumbai-Kandla, Jaipur-Jaisalmer and Hyderabad-Puducherry routes under the Udan scheme last year.

As an introductory offer, SpiceJet has announced a limited period all-inclusive one-way fare for each of the new routes starting at Rs 2,694. "Our flight services from Hubballi will provide greater flexibility and convenience to both leisure and business travellers," Shilpa Bhatia, Chief Sales and Revenue Officer, SpiceJet said.

Hubballi houses the largest number of government offices in the state. Earmarked for the Smart City project, it is also a major trading centre for cotton and iron.
