Subodh ousted from KPSC as he tried to cleanse it: BJP

Bengaluru, DHNS: Senior BJP leader Jagadish Shettar on Tuesday said the state government has transferred IAS officer Subodh Yadav from the post of secretary, Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC), as he tried to usher in transparency in the recruiting body.

Speaking to journalists in Bengaluru, Shettar, who is the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly, charged the government with blatantly indulging in corruption and shunting out officers who try to curb illegal activities.

Th former chief minister accused the government of denying permission to investigation agencies to prosecute corrupt officers. “The government is shielding the corrupt.?The government has not processed request for prosecution sanction in as many as 100 cases”, he said.

He also accused the government of misusing the Criminal Investigation Department to get a clean chit for ministers K?J?George and Tanveer Sait.
