Karwar, (DHNS): Sirsi MLA Vishweshwara Hegde Kageri has written to the Uttara Kannada district administration for dropping his name from the Tipu Jayanti invite.
Additional Deputy Commissioner H Prasanna told DH on Wednesday that Union Minister Ananth Kumar Hegde had made a similar request and the invite was sent for printing without including his name.
Now, printing has been stopped. Steps have been taken for reprinting the invite dropping the MLA's name, he added.
