Tirumala Darshan tickets now available at head post offices

Mangaluru (The Hindu): Residents of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts can now book Tirupati Special Darshan entry online tickets at head post offices in these districts from January 1, 2016.

A release from the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Mangaluru Division, here said that the Karnataka Postal Circle has, in association with Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanams, extended the facility of online ticket booking of TTD Tirupati Sepcial Darshan Entry through head post offices. The designated head post offices are Mangaluru-Pandeshwar, Karkala, Puttur, Kundapura, Manipal and Udupi. Tickets can be booked 60 days in advance. Devotees have to produce photo identity cards and mobile phone numbers while booking tickets at the post office counters while booking tickets. At present, the ticket cost Rs. 300 per person, with two free laddus.
