Bengaluru, DHNS: Congress MLC V S Ugrappa on Monday said appointment of B S Yeddyurappa as State party chief was a testimony to the party being desperate to come to power.
He said the BJP appears to be ready to stoop to any level to come to power in the state. Hence, it has made Yeddyurappa the state party president despite him having gone to jail.
“Yeddyurappa was the only former chief minister to go to jail in the state. BJP should now clarify as to why it forced Yeddyurappa to resign as the chief minister in 2011,” he asked.
On Yeddyurappa’s plan to tour across the State, Ugrappa said Congress workers will visit places where he tours and spread awareness on cases pending against him.
