Veteran actor Sadhashiv Brahmavar passes away

Bengaluru, (DHNS): Veteran Kannada actor Sadhashiv Brahmavar passed away on Tuesday due to age-related ailments. He was 90. The veteran actor, who played supporting roles in more than 150 Kannada films, is survived by a son and a daughter.

Though Sadhashiv Brahmavar died on Tuesday in a private hospital in Bengaluru, his family made the official announcement a day later, to avoid the media glare. The last rites were performed in Banashankari on Wednesday, which was attended by the close friends and relatives of the actor.

In his five-decade career as a supporting actor, Sadhashiv Brahmavar has essayed various roles on Kannada screen. He has worked with the Sandalwood biggies such as Dr Rajkumar, Dr Vishnuvardhan, Amabareesh, Shankar Nag, Sudeep, Darshan, and also with the famous directors like S R Putanna Kanagal, A L Abbaiah Naidu, Kashinath and others. In 2017, Sadhashiv Brahmavar made the news for being alienated by his family members and found roaming in Kumuta town. People who identified him offered him food and accommodation.

However, later he was reunited with his family and was staying in Bengaluru.
