Bengaluru, DHNS:  Dr Yathindra, son of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, on Monday submitted his resignation as director of Matrix Solutions India Private Limited. This follows a controversy over the tender for setting up a diagnostic centre at the government-run PMSSY?hospital on the premises of the Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru being awarded to Matrix.

Dr Yathindra had come under severe pressure to resign from the post.

“Yes, I have resigned today. I tendered my resignation letter to the Matrix Board of directors, but there are still formalities to be completed (sic),” he said in a text message to Deccan Herald.

Yathindra had claimed that a lobby with an ulterior motive was possibly at work, preventing the lab from being set up. On being asked about the same on Monday, he said, “We have some information about it, but cannot vouch for it.”

“I am feeling a bit low and am wondering where I went wrong,” said Dr Yathindra, who appeared to be upset over the controversy.
