Kalasindhu, Academy of Dance and Related Arts Presents
Bengaluru 27th November 2016- Kalasindh Director Poornima Gururaja presented Dr. Anupama Kylash, Senior Kuchupudi, Vilasini Natyam exponent, Academician and Scholar. A book “Jeeva Nayika” based on the Sringara Kriti's of Annamacharya was released in Bengaluru today under the banner of kalasindhu at Malleshwaram Seva Sadan, on the 27th of November 2016.
Kalasindu presented a lecture introducing the works of Annamacharya by Dr. Rallapalli Sundaram, from Mysore. The lecture was followed by an exposition in Kuchupudi and Vilasini Natyam by Dr. Anupama Kylash.
Dr. Deepthi Navarathna, Executive Director IGNCA, Bengaluru will release a book that supports the performance. Karnataka Kalashri Dr. Choodamani Nandagopal, Dr. Raghavendra, and Dr. Veena Vijay Murthy will receive the first copies of the book.
The presentation also included an interactive session with 25 key participants who are acclaimed academicians and performers in the field of classical art.
Director of Kalasindhu, Poornima Gururaja hopes this attempt will aid in bringing fresh resource material and a distinguished group of artists together resulting in fresh perspectives and choreographies.
