The feast of St. Martin of Tours, the patron saint of Mpandagindo parish was celebrated at Songea, Tanzania

Tanzania : The feast of St. Martin of Tours, the patron saint of Mpandagindo parish was celebrated on 11th of November by the Community of Songea along with the parishioners in a grand scale.

 

The feast was preceded by the novenas daily in the morning mass but in a special way the triduum was conducted by V. Rev. Fr. Marlon Rodrigues, the Vicar of the Regional Vicar of the Carmelites in Tanzania. The festive celebration also included: the group marriages of two pairs, the Renewal of marriage vows of two pairs and commemoration of 47th anniversary of the establishment of the parish.

The concelebrated high mass was presided over by V. Rev. Fr. Marlon Rodrigues, the Vicar of the Regional Vicar, and concelebrated by many guest priests. The choir was from Mateka out station of Motogoro parish where we serve regularly. There were many invited guests and all those who contributed for the celebration were given a momentum during the mass.

Besides our own Carmelite communities, many priests and religious around also responded to our invitation.
