Mohali, Nov 29 (PTI) India beat England by eight wickets in the third cricket Test to take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series here today.

Brief Scores:

England: 283 & 236 all out in 90.2 overs (Joe Root 78, Haseeb Hameed 59 not out; Ravichandran Ashwin 3/81, Jayant Yadav 2/21).

India: 417 & 104 for 2 in 20.2 overs (Parhtiv Patel 67 not out; Chris Woakes 1/16).
