Bantwal: A 10-year-old boy fell into a stone quarry and died on Saturday in an unfortuante incident. The deceased is Irfan, son of Hussein and Zeenath from Kanchinadka Padav.
Irfan was studying in fifth standard. His father and mother had gone to a hospital. As there was no school in the afternoon, Irfan started to play with his friends. Though there is barbed wire around the quarry, the children managed to cross it and played around the quarry. Irfan, while playing fell into the quarry and died.
Hussein works as a coolie worker. Irfan was one among his six children. A case has been registered.
