Kasargod: The fishing boats collided with each other at Alivebagilu, injuring 12 fishermen. The accident occurred on August 25 Thursday in the morning due to heavy winds.
Abdul Khader(31), Saibabu(42), Umeshan(35), Ranjith(43), Vijesh(30), Ashokan(36), Lalu(30), Chandran(40), Shashi(40), Sabith(35), Binu(35) and Balan(49) are the injured fishermen.
The locals fishermen who noticed the boats drowning rescued them. They all are being treated at Hospital in Kasargod. A total loss of 12 lakhs is estimated so far.
