Manipal: A 21-year-old worker was killed when a train ran over him at Indrali on Friday. Nagaraj was removing gravel on the railway track.
He was immersed in his work and did not notice the train coming even though other workers shouted to alert him.
The Madgaon-Mangaluru DEMU train (train number 70105), coming from Barkur, ran over him.
Nagaraj, who suffered severe head injuries, died. A case of unnatural death had been registered at the Manipal police station.
