Sullia:Ramya (24), wife of Vasanth Gowda, in Kolthige village hanged herself at her home on Saturday. The woman, according to her husband was suffering from a psychological disorder and was under the treatment of a psychiatrist from Mangaluru. She was frustrated at the fact that prolonged treatment had not brought about any improvement in her condition.
On the other hand, father of Ramya, Kalmadka Radhakrishna Gowda, in his police complaint, accused his son-in-law of harassing his daughter and alleged that being unable to bear with this harassment, his daughter committed suicide.
Ramya had married Vasanth Gowda on December 29, 2014. She has left behind a five-month-old male baby.
