Kundapur: A 28-year-old person died after being hit by a train at Kanyana in Hattiangady on Wednesday July 27.
The deceased has been identified as Raghavendra Poojary (28), a resident of Rajadi near Tallur here. He was returning home from the market when the train accident took place.
Raghavendra was working in a hotel in Raichur and had come back to his hometown just a week ago. On Wednesday evening, he went to Katbelthur market to buy some fish, milk and curds, and in the process, had to cross a railway track. On his way back, a train hit him near a bridge at Kanyana, killing him on the spot. His body was thrown off the bridge due to the impact.
