Puttur: A youth who was riding a two-wheeler was killed after a lorry hit his vehicle on Sunday. The deceased is Safwan (30), son of Abdurrazack from Chikkamudnur village.
Safwan was riding his vehicle on the road that passes through Darbe when a lorry hit his vehicle hard. Safwan was thrown onto the road. He was rushed to the government hospital here with serious injuries.
Thereafter, in view of the seriousness of his injuries, he was taken to Mangaluru and admitted into a hospital there. However, he breathed his last the same night without responding to treatment.
A case relating to the accident was filed by traffic police station here. Investigation has been undertaken.
