Moodbidri: In a tragic incident, Suresh Gowda (38), a resident of Thenkamijar slipped from the footboard of a bus on the move and lost
his life on Saturday. The deceased used to work as daily wager. He had married a girl from Permude during April this year.
On Saturday, he was engaged for work at Mangaluru. He returned from the city late evening in a private bus. He was waiting on the
footboard of the bus to alight from at the bus stop at Niddodi Mugebettu. As the bus did not stop at the designated spot where he
wanted to get down, it is said, he slipped and fell on the road. He suffered extensive injuries in this incident, and died in a private
hospital at Kinnigoli into which he was admitted.
In a case registered in the rural police station here, the police have cited irresponsibility and negligence of bus conductor and driver as
the cause for this accident.
