Mangaluru,: In a tragic incident, Apoorva, who was a first year Architect student of Srinivas College at Valachhil has collapsed to death at the hostel on Thursday. The incident occurred at around 1.45 pm when Apoorva was on way to the hostel room along with a classmate after having lunch. Though she was immediately rushed to the Fr Muller Hospital by the hostel warden and other students, doctors pronounced her dead.
It is suspected that she died of a brain haemorrhage. Apoorva had returned to college just the previous day, i.e January 31 upon completion of first semester holiday.
Apoorva is the granddaughter of renowned Yakshagana Arthadhari and scholar Perla Krishna Bhat. She is survived by her father Rajaram Bhat who is the owner of Gurukula Mudranalaya of Perla, mother Radhika and a sister.
