Bantwal: In a tragic incident, Dinesh B K (45) who was serving as Assistant Sub-Inspector in the Mangaluru Branch of DCIB, passed away due to cardiac arrest on January 29, Saturday night.
Dinesh hailed from Puttur. He was on way to home on Saturday night when he suddenly fell ill near Neralakatte. Locals had immediately taken him to a hospital in Mangaluru after calling an ambulance. However, his life could not be saved. It is said Dinesh was also a diabetic.
The deceased ASI had earlier served in Subrahmanya, Sullia, Bantwal and Belthangady police station limits. He is survived by his wife and a son.
The last rites were held in Puttur
