Bantwal resident held in Hyderabad

Mangaluru (The Hindu): The Bantwal police have arrested a resident of Bantwal at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad for allegedly posting a picture defaming Sadhvi Balika Saraswati. A complaint was registered in February in connection with Mohammed Gaffar posting an obscene photograph on a social media website by morphing her image.

Having tracked his whereabouts, the police had alerted all airports and police stations in the country.

On November 12, Mohammed Gaffar was apprehended by the police soon after he landed at the international airport in Hyderabad from Dubai. The Bantwal police arrested him on November 13, the police said.
