Udupi: In what can be termed as a tragic incident, a bus hit a woman in front of Babbuswamy garage on Uchila national highway No 66 on Thursday afternoon. The woman died on the spot. Her name is yet to be known.
As per some locals, the woman was a rag picker. Recklessness of the driver is said to be the reaosn for this accident.
The bus was on its way from Udupi to Mangaluru. Padubidri police visited the spot and have registered a case.
There have been increase in number of accidents, since past few years on National Highway. It is hig time, authorities take note of this.
