Children’s film fest from Monday

Udupi (The Hindu): Children’s films will be screened in seven cinemas in Udupi district during the International Children’s Film Festival from November 23 to 26.

The festival is being organised as part of the 125th birth anniversary celebrations of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

According to an official press release issued here on Friday, films from countries including Hungary, Argentina, Norway, China Iran and Russia, besides India, would be screened at Shankar cinema in Byndoor; Radhika cinema in Karkala; Vinayaka cinema in Kundapur; Alankar, Kalpana, Ashirwad and Diana cinemas in Udupi from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The administration has already made arrangements for transporting the children safely from and to these film theatres in the district.

The children would also be provided with snacks during the festival.
