Bantwal: A person, who was working under a coconut tree, died after the tree got uprooted due to heavy rain and wind and fell directly on him. The incident occurred at Kanyana village near Vittal on Tuesday May 31 evening. The deceased is Sulaiman (41) from Mundyur near Kanyana.
When he was working under a coconut tree near his home, the tree unexpectedly fell on him. The accident inflicted deep injuries on his head. He was immediately taken to a private hospital in Vittal, but he was not alive when he reached the hospital.
Vittal police have registered a case and begun investigation.
