Puttur: Savanur Janajagruti Vedike will be organising a 'Sankalpa Samavesha' at 3 pm on September 10 at Paltady Ankathadka Maidan in order to create awareness about the affects of Love Jihad.
Rakesh Rai Kedenji of Savanur Janajagruti Vedike said that Hindu girls are being teased in Savanur and Palatady areas. "The concerned are silently executing the plan of affecting religious conversion of people. One such case recently came to light. There is a need to create awareness among the people. About four to five thousand people from the village are expected to take part in the convention," he said.
Odiyoor Shree Matanandamayi, will deliver benedictory address. Bellare Laxmivennkataramana temple managing trustee, Gopalakrishna shanbhogue Manikkara, will preside. Hindu leader, Arun Kumar Puthila, honorary president of Hindu Hitarakshana Samiti, Ganesh Shetty Kunhady, and several others will be present.
