Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists Union organized protest in front of DC office here on Tuesday November 3 condemning the attack on the media photographers allegedly by the supporters of Madooru Isubu on the evening of Monday November 2 near the mortuary of Wenlock Hospital.
Jaganath Shetty Bala, president of Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists’ Union said " The media representatives of the coastal districts are being attacked. This is the effort to harm the intent of democracy. The district administration and police department should give proper protection for journalists while reporting".
On this occasion Senior reporters Ravindra Shetty, Tharanath Kapikad, P B Harish Rai, Jithendra Kundeshwara, Mohammed Arif Padubidri also spoke during the occasion. Shrinivas Nayak compered. After the protest memorandum was submitted to DC and police department.
