Udupi: The election commission, on Monday, April 30, ordered to remove BJP party banners hung above MGM college ground compound where the programme of PM Modi is scheduled. Modi will address a rally there on May 1.
The election commission had permitted to hang banners two hours prior to the arrival of the prime minister and till two hours after his departure. But BJP activists had hung huge banners on April 29, two days in advance.
The election commission officials who noticed it, asked BJP activists, to remove party banners hung two days in advance.
