Puttur: The police foiled a dacoity gang and have arrested five in Kumbra-Bellare road at Kallaje onThursday late night. The arrested are identified as Pramod Sharma(33), Ankushraj(24), Tuntun Kumar (19), Pransh Kumar(19) and Karan Kumar (19). All are said to be the residents of Bihar.
The police during night patrolling noticed the five being suspicious, sitting at Kallaje bus stand. During interroagting they have revealed the fact that they were waiting for the opportunity to rob the houses in the vicinity.
Police have taken the five into custody and seized a bag containing hand gloves, iron rod, chilli powder packets, plasters, hammer, knife etc from them. Investigations are underway. A case has been registered.
