Mangaluru (TOI): French firm Interlog Services, a logistics service provider, will have its first office in the state. The office will be opened at Mangalore Hills located at Bondel-Vamanjoor Road on Saturday.
Interlog, founded in 1999, provides 4PL, technology, and freight audit and payment services to a broad group of international and Fortune 400 companies. It has offices in France, India, Portugal and America and offers service in 20 countries.
"Interlog is committed to growth, both organically and through strategic acquisitions,'' says Interlog president Jean-Marie Mascarenhas.
In the last few years, Interlog has acquired a US-based 3PL company, Pro-Log, and a major software platform, OCS, opened major operational centers in India and Portugal, and upgraded its logistics manage ment data and reporting tools in order to broaden its vertical experience, strengthen IT capabilities and expand geographical reach.
Interlog established its first business location in Chennai in 2002. In terms of what made Mangalore attractive as a location to Interlog, Jean-Marie notes the strong education facilities here give a stable workforce with strong language and IT skills.
