Published On : 04 Aug 2016

Bantwal: The school authorities at government higher primary school at Kanyana were shocked to find that window glasses of Akshara Dasoha room, water pipe, Sintex water tanks and doors were utterly damaged by unknown hooligans.

Two Sintex water tanks and doors of washrooms were destroyed by the miscreants. Ten water taps were damaged and holes were found to have been rigged through the pipes fitted to the toilet. Four big window panes of Akshara scheme room were shattered and attempt was made to break the basins inside the washroom by dropping boulders on them. Total loss suffered in these incidents has been calculated at one lac rupees.

The destructive activities seems to have been conducted by someone in drunken stupor and not pre-planned. Locals have urged the government to build compound walls and appoint watchmen to see that no one gains entry into school premises.
