H Vishwanath quits Congress; to join JD(S)

Bengaluru: Former MP and veteran Congress leader, H Vishwanath from Mysuru finally resigned from his parent party on Friday . He went from Bangalore Press Club by foot to the office of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) and handed over his resignation letter to KPCC president, Dr G Parameshwara.

many Congress activists approached him with a request not to leave the party. But Vishwanath just smiled at them and handed over his resignation letter to Parameshwara. Before leaving, he said he was very much pained at having to leave the party.

Parameshwara said he would send the resignation letter to All India Congress Committee (AICC), duly revealing that he had make efforts a number of times to prevail on Vishwanath to change his mind.

H Vishwanath has many issues with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and has been seen attacking CM since many months. He will be soon joining JD(S). He will be joining the list of veterean Congress leaders like S M Krishna, who has left the party.
