Mangaluru: The Karnataka High Court has issued notices to City Mayor Kavitha Sanil, Police Commissioner TR Suresh, Pandeshwar Inspector Belliappa and Health officer of MCC Dr Manjayya Shetty in connection with the raid conducted on a skill game centre in the city a few months ago. The High Court has also stayed any action against the Centre until further orders.

Sujitha Rai, the owner of the skill game centre had moved the Court against the MCC for raiding the centre. The owner alleged that that raid was done due to personal motives.

When Mayor Kavitha Sanil was contacted, she said she was unaware of the notice but said the lawyers would deal with the issue. She also clarified that the raid followed complaints from the public and did not have any other ulterior motive.
