Mangaluru: Hindu Jagarana Vedike condemned the Police Department’s move to file a case against Satyajit Surathkal and other Hindu leaders in connection with the stone pelting incident at B C Road which took place during the funeral procession of slain RSS activist Sharath Madiwala.

They alleged that Bantwal police, with a total of 50 personnel, raided Satyajit's house at 2 am. They warned of holding huge protests if the cases are not revoked against Hindu leaders. They blamed District In-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai and Food and Civil Supplies Minister U T Khader for safeguarding the culprits.

Satyajit Surathkal’s wife Savitha said, "he police were roaming around the house from 11.30 pm and knocked the door at 2 am. I was scared when I heard the door bell sound. The police knocked the window of my bedroom and asked to open the door. They told me that they have filed a case against my husband. They searched the house thoroughly, but they could not find Satyajit as he was not in the house. All the 50 policemen entered the house at a time. I didn’t resist them, I have given answers to their questions,” she stated.
