Mangaluru (The Hindu): The monsoon timetable on Konkan Railway network would become effective from June 10 and last till October 31, during which time trains would run a tad slow because of rain.
Departure timings of some trains from their source stations would be advanced or postponed during the period.
Passengers who have booked their tickets before the commencement of the monsoon timetable are advised to check timings well in advance.
The revised departure timings of some of the important trains at their source stations are as under (existing timing in brackets). Train No. 12617, Ernakulam-Nizamuddin Mangala Express, 10.45 a.m. (1.05 p.m.); Train No. 12620, Mangaluru-LTT Matsyagandha Express, 12.50 p.m. (2.40 p.m.); Train No. 12134, Mangalore Junction-CSTM Express, 4.45 p.m. (2 p.m.); Train No. 16524, Karwar-Bengaluru Express, 2.55 p.m. (2.40 p.m.) and Train No. 56641, Madgaon-Mangalore Central Passenger, 2 p.m. (1.50 p.m.).
