Belthangady: A man who tried to stab a woman after a quarrel with her, was caught hold of by locals and thrashed at Guruvayanakere on Thursday. Umesh who was seriously injured has been hospitalised.
Umesh had engaged in a verbal duel with a woman over the issue of parking their two-wheelers. When the situation almost went out of control, Umesh tried to stab the woman only to the prevented by locals who gave him a good beating.
Umesh hailed from Laila while the woman was from Adkadka. Local police are investigating the case.
