Mangaluru: In a tragic incident, which could have been stopped, if the contractor had taken some care, a 35-year-old man died. He died after accidentally falling into an uncovered drain at Katipalla, Krishnapura on Saturday night.
The deceased has been identified as Mohan (35), a resident of Katipalla first block. Mohan died after he accidentally fell into an uncovered drain at Katipalla. He suffered serious injuries and was admitted to the local hospital but did not respond to treatment.
Locals are upset with contractor and have raised their anger against him. MLA Mohiuddin Bava visited Mohan in the hospital. He then called up the contractor on phone and took him to task. Suratkal police have registered a case.
