Mangaluru: In a tragic incident, a man was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident at Bondel late night on Monday. The accident occured in front of Bondel church when an unidentified vehicle rammed into the man's scooter and sped away.
The identity of the scooter rider is not yet known. He was riding from Padavinangady, and the vehicle that hit him was also plying in the same direction.
As soon as the accident occured, locals rushed to the spot and took the injured man to hospital. He is said to have suffered head injuries.
