Mangaluru: Applications or recommendations are invited from Konkani artistes of Karnataka origin, of any dialect, religion, caste and creed, for the annual ‘Kalakar Puraskar’ awarded by Mandd Sobhann in association with Carvalho Gharannem.
It is decided that this year an artiste of Karnataka origin, who has specially contributed towards the enrichment of Konkani performing arts (music, dance, theatre, or folk-arts), be selected for the award.
The 13th Kalakar Puraskar will be presented at Kalaangann, on November 5 at 6 pm. The award includes Rs 25,000 cash, memento, certificate and public honour.
Applications or recommendations along with a photo, list of achievements, proof and paper cuttings, should be sent to: Mandd Sobhann, Kalaangann, Makale, Shaktinagar, Mangaluru – 575 016, by October 10.
