Mangaluru: Mangaluru Chalo Programme aimed at securing "Justice for Qureshi"will be organised by the United Muslim Front at Nehru Maidan on April 28 at 3 pm.
K Ashraf, Convenor of the Front and former mayor said, "Qureshi was arrested by the CCB cops from the court compound on the pretext of questioning him and was then kept in illegal detention. He was tortured during the period. This had resulted in 60 per cent kidney failure. It is sad that none of political parties and other organisations are helping us. "
He further assured that the protest programme seeking justice for Qureshi would be a peaceful one and said it will not be vilonet one.
