NRI businessman from Mangaluru has breakfast with Donald Trump

Mangaluru (TOI): Philanthropist and NRI businessman Ronald Colaco joined the President of the United States of America Donald Trump for Breakfast at the Washington Hilton, Washington DC on Thursday.

He was among the specially chosen delegates from over 140 countries.

Senators John Boozman and Christopher Coons had extended a personal invitation to Colaco on behalf of the Congressional Host Committee, headed by 14 senators and 13 high ranking representatives, to participate in the 65th Annual National Prayer Breakfast.

Talking about the special invite, Colaco said, "It is indeed a great honour and privilege to represent my country. I am also quite thrilled because I met representatives from different countries of the world who participated in this event. I believe this exposure would benefit me a great deal in strengthening contacts and establishing good relationship with leaders at a global level.

Colaco said that President Trump sounded sincere and impressed the gathering with his extempore speech.

Apart from being a successful entrepreneur, Colaco has been very active in promoting socio-cultural, charitable and philanthropic activities.
