Kundapur: Narayana Guru Yuvaka Mandala conducted wedding of a poor couple on Friday September 25 at Narayana Guru Kalyana Mantapa. The Mandala has so far got three poor couples married.
The bride is Kodi resident Bharathi and the groom is Anegudde temple security guard Jagadish. The Mandala showed that poverty is not a curse, but it should be challenged.
Billava Association holds such weddings every year, the members of the Yuvaka Mandala said that they had to hold the wedding separately like this as it came at an odd time. Well-known people in the society and elders arrived and blessed the couple.
