Puttur: Puttur town police have arrested a man suspected of three thefts, cheating cases and seized gold jewellery worth Rs 1.70 lakh on Sunday.
The arrested person is Suresh Naik (51), a resident of Marathimoole . The accused reportedly took away valuables from Puttur and Uppinangady bus stands in three separate incidents.
The accused’s modus operandi used was target aged couples to steal, rob the valuables gaining their trust.
