Bantwal: Policemen raided an illegal slaughterhouse being run in an areca nut plantation at Aroddu in Tenkakajekaru village. During the raid, three persons were arrested, while two others managed to escape.
The areca nut plantation belongs to a local farmer named Abdul Aziz. The police, after getting reliable information about a slaughterhouse being run there, raided the place. During the raid, the police personnel found that a cattle had been slaughtered.
The policemen took into possession about 50 kg meat from the spot, hatchet, and some other items. Three persons, Abdul Aziz, Muhammed Mustafa, and Abdul Kunhi, were arrested. Nassir and Farooq fled from the spot during the raid and managed to remain elusive.
