Personnel of the Department of Health and Family Welfare and volunteers of various organisations administered polio drops to 78,123 (93%) children out of a total of 83,562 children in Udupi district on Sunday in the second round of the pulse polio immunisation drive.
According to the Department of Health and Family Welfare, of 38,287 children in Udupi taluk, 34,465 (90%) children were given Pulse Polio drops.
As many as 29,755 (99%) children out of 30,046 children were administered the drops in Kundapur taluk. In Karkala taluk, out of 15,229 children, 13,903 children (91%) were given drops.
