Mangaluru: Six persons got stuck in the lift at Congress office on Friday and fire brigade was called to rescue them. The fire brigade office at Pandeshwar received a call in the evening from a person called Prasad saying 6 people were trapped in the lift at the Congress office.
The fire brigade personnel rushed immediately to the spot and helped to bring the lift to a floor and opened the lift door. Overloading was the reason for the problem,.
Before the fire brigade arrived, some people had tried to bring the lift to a floor by using iron rods. The people who were stuck in the lift were panicking with fear. Police personnel from Kadri police station too had arrived to help.
