State government to construct its own guest house at Tirumala

Bengaluru: The State Government has decided to construct its own guest house at Tirumala for pilgrims from Karnataka visiting the famous Tirupati temple in Andhra Pradesh The new guest house would come up on 61,390 sq.ft. area near the temple. The cost of the building is yet to be estimated.

It was decided to renovate existing 86 rooms of the existing Karnataka Bhavan located in Tirumala and a community hall and a guest house on 20,000 sq.ft, in Tirupati.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday chaired a meeting with senior officials and instructed them to commence construction work of new guest houses, the community hall, and renovation of existing rooms of the Karnataka Bhavan.
