TAC Malapuram win all India U-15 Tourney in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Showing superb skills with their stylish football, TAC Malapuram beat Mahagony Football Club from Chennai by 3 goals to nothing to win the 3rd All India Under-15 Football Tournament on sunday at the Army Public School grounds, Bangalore. Young Fayaz scored a hat trick in the final for Malapuram and walked away with the Player of the Final and Player of the Tournament award. It was eye pleasing to see the young winning team dominating the final convincingly. The winners were given a fabulous trophy and a cash prize of Rs.40,000 while the runners up got a trophy and cash prize of Rs.30,000. In the match for the third and fourth place,

Bangalore's Cosmos F.C. went past Erumapetty Football Academy from Kerala to win by a 4-1 margin. The third placed team took home a trophy and cash prize of Rs.20,000 and the fourth placed team got a trophy and Rs.10,000. A total prize money of Rs.One Lakh was given away. There were 48 teams in the two day 5-a-side tournament being held by Denz Foundation for the 3rd year in a row. In the Plate Cup for the losers, BSSF Magic Feet beat Army Public School 'A' by the odd goal in three. Former India player Rani Natraj, former Services goalkeeper Prem Kumar and Sharon of Decathlon Sports gave away the trophies to the winners.
